Ceramic Guinea Solid White
Ceramic Guinea Solid White
La Pintade was born out of Heidi's imagination since her presence at the School. The poultry, the real one, was already present in her garden. The idea of turning it into an attractive stylized sculpture came naturally to him at first. But the realization required long days of sketching, construction, deconstruction ... in order to obtain the shape ... perfect.
Heidi CAILLARD born in 1932 in Basel, Switzerland, did fine arts (Basel Art and Craft) from 1949 to 1954 then the Lausanne Ceramics School in 1962.
In 1968, she moved to Blauzac, a village near Uzès. To open a small pottery workshop and its adjoining exhibition room in the heart of the Village. A client, Daniel CAILLARD, a soldier at the Garons base (Nîmes) then became her husband.
Note: Crazing may be apparent on solid white hens due to the nature of the solid painted pattern. This does not effect the quality of the art.
